What school did you attend and what made you decide to go there?
Michigan State University – both my parents attended MSU along with my Grandfather and 4 of my aunts and uncles. My family has had season tickets to football games my entire life and spent many Saturdays at MSU together. I fell in love with the campus, the people and the athletics. My best memories from childhood took place at MSU!
Memorable Sports Moment: I was a sophomore in high school and at the League meet when I got my first individual state cut in the 100 freestyle. It felt amazing to swim as fast as I did and that all the hard work from the season had paid off!
Hobbies: Swimming, playing & watching sports, movies, concerts, hanging out with friends and family.
Favorite Book: The Giver & Tuesdays with Morrie.
Why you’re involved in UWG: My experience as a student-athlete gave me discipline and certainty that I could achieve anything I wanted to achieve with hard work and dedication. It challenged me and showed me the meaning of success. I want to help others achieve that same experience.
Who’s been the most influential person in your life? My parents! They have always supported me in all of my endeavors. They are both extremely hard working and successful and have been there for me in every possible way.
What’s your favorite movie? The Usual Suspects
What’s the hardest life lesson you have had to learn? Not all things will work out the way you planned.
Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs? Still working in sports, successful and happy.
